Antoine Hervé Press Excerpts

Jean-François Zygel's opinion in the "La Terrasse" Focus:

"Antoine is not only a jazz pianist; I've heard him play Rachmaninoff concertos admirably... He has a dual culture, like Keith Jarrett. He taught me a lot, particularly through his great sense of rhythm but also through his awareness of time. He has a real inner energy, which allows him to master the moment of improvisation very well. His rapport with the audience is truly exceptional..."

"Guaranteed endorphin rush!" - Femme Actuelle

"Of course, he's one of the greatest pianists of the moment. But he also plays the role of 'teacher,' that not-so-common, if not rare, instrument that allows the miracle to occur between an art—or a science—and the public." - Citizen Jazz

"Antoine Hervé accomplishes a feat here (...) by vividly blending the historical reality of the musicians he illustrates with the updating of the sometimes complex musical elements they employ, which he manages to illuminate in an almost natural and always playful way." - Pianiste Magazine "

The analyses are enlightening, the anecdotes enchanting, and the humorous touches delight. Libération

"Bright" - France Music

"Exciting" - The Terrace

"A magnificent jazz pianist" - Michel Contat - Télérama

"While the explanations are clear, entertaining, and musically sophisticated, they are, above all, accessible to all." - Anne-Marie Gustave - Télérama

Jazz Culture "The audience is charmed"

Alain Gauthier - La Terrasse "Exciting and useful"

Jean-Luc Caradec "A real treat" - Ouest France
