Welcome

My name is Antoine Hervé, this is my website. I am a pianist, composer, conductor, producer, and publisher...and I think that's about it! Oh yes, I'm passionate about music in general, and jazz in particular!

I mainly play and compose jazz and contemporary music. I trained in classical music at the Paris Conservatory and conducted the National Jazz Orchestra from 1987 to 1989, where I had the pleasure of working with Randy Brecker, Toots Thielemans, Quincy Jones, and Gil Evans, among others.

For the past thirty years, I have recorded albums and composed scores, most of which are not commercially available. I have therefore decided to make them available for download or by mail order via this website's store for a modest fee, which I hope will soon be used to pay a webmaster.

I live and work in Paris, and I tour around the world as a jazz pianist.

My first production was the album "Horizons," a collaboration with Andy Emler in February 1982. I had to create a label to release it: "Philoé Music." Then that label became "Tartine Productions," and today it is "RV Productions."

This online store has been around for about fifteen years and continues to grow and improve slowly.

I hope you enjoy browsing through this store, which contains some real gems for amateurs, professional musicians, and educators alike. For several decades, conservatories have been commissioning me to write educational pieces which, according to the performers, are quite well received. Now it's your turn to enjoy them! I'm also going to add all the big band arrangements that are lying around in my drawers, and they're not insignificant (ONJ repertoire, etc.)!

You can also download my entire discography or have it sent to you by mail. Some albums were originally produced by LABEL BLEU (1990). We were also released by LABEL NOCTURNE (2003-2010) and then PLUS LOIN, NAIVE (2010) before recently reclaiming our catalog (2011).

You will also find sheet music (and MP3s) for pieces for professional ensembles that have proven themselves on stages around the world.

I also fell in love with some excellent musicians whom I produced and edited in contemporary and jazz music, and who became friends if they weren't already.
