A new method for beginners to get started with jazz piano and improvisation.

Chapters:

Level 1:

• 1-Let's start with the target notes of the theme and the bass notes of the grid in quarter notes. Hands separate, then together.

• 2-Being a musician begins with listening deeply to sound. Let's turn listening to a C major chord into a meditation and a discovery of what is inside a piano.

• 3-Triads are the building blocks of jazz chords. Let's start by learning how to make major and minor chords.

Level 2:

• 1-The entire theme note by note, hands separate then hands together with a rhythm section (bass, drums)

• 2-Composing or improvising music have a lot in common. Creating means choosing! Using as few materials as possible is the most important rule. Let's start with good habits.

• 3-The king of jazz was the great Louis Armstrong. Most of his riffs became so famous that all jazz musicians began learning them first. So let's get started!

This course is available at two levels:

Level 1: Beginner - Video length: 53:00

Level 2: Beginner + Video duration: 58:00

Each level is based on a piano arrangement and different exercises.

Progressive in nature, each class lasts approximately one hour and includes basic instruction in interpretation, technique, harmony, and improvisation.

Antoine Hervé has developed a new method based on his experience as a professional musician of the highest caliber, encompassing techniques from both classical and jazz music, but specifically targeted here at beginners.

You will gradually learn how to interpret the theme, accompany on the piano, play chords to acquire the basics of jazz language, and transpose with simple versions that match your level.
